The Dash in Between

The Dash in Between is a storytelling podcast rooted in a simple but powerful belief: everyone has a story, and every story deserves to be told. Through warm, thoughtful conversations, the podcast invites guests to share their life stories in their own voices—stories that deserve to be heard, remembered, and preserved.

The podcast has two heart-centered missions. First, it creates a space for people to tell their stories as they are, because their lives matter and deserve to be recorded in history. Second, it aims to help people begin to heal and tell their own story. Alongside each episode, The Dash in Between offers reflective writing prompts to help listeners process their experiences, find meaning, and tell their own stories at their own pace.

The podcast was born from a deeply personal place. From a young age, the host carried a fear that her life might have no significance—that no one would know she once existed. While that fear fed depression and anxiety, it also sparked a lifelong search for purpose and a deep love for storytelling. People are endlessly fascinating, and this podcast exists to honor that truth.

Hosted by a writer with a BA in English from the University of Utah and an MFA in Creative Writing (Creative Nonfiction) from Chatham University, The Dash in Between approaches storytelling with care, compassion, and curiosity. While it is not a religious podcast, it is shared through the host’s personal religious lens as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—acknowledging that faith, doubt, absence, and return have all shaped the way these stories are held.

At its core, The Dash in Between is an invitation: to be seen, to be heard, to heal, and to leave a record of your life. Long after we are gone, these stories—and these voices—will remain.
